Hyungsun Yim is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Agricultural & Consumer Economics. She holds a B.A. in Economics and M.A. in Applied Economics from the Department of Food and Resource Economics at Korea University, Seoul. Her research interests include Regional Economics and Environmental Economics.

Jian Zou

Jian Zou is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Economics. His research focuses on economics of education, labor economics, and regional economics. His research topics include peer effects in students’ human capital formation and policy evaluations of a teacher licensure policy (edTPA) and a food program (CACFP) in US. He is currently engaged in an interdisciplinary research project investigating the capacity of domestic trade to mitigate the impacts of climate change on agriculture.

Taejun Mo

Taejun Mo is a Ph.D. student in Agricultural and Consumer Economics at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He holds an M.S. degree in Economics with a focus on regional information.  His research interests are international trade, climate change, and spatial economics.

Youning Chen

Youning Chen is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Economics at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research focuses on Empirical Industrial Organization. His research topics include externality, direct and indirect network effect in multi-sided market and complementary product market. He is now working on a project investigating the capacity of domestic trade to mitigate the impacts of climate change on agriculture.

Jiacheng Zhang

Jiacheng Zhang is a graduate student majoring in Geographic Information Science (GIS) in the Department of Geography & Geographic Information Science. His academic focus is on Spatial Data Visualization and Geospatial Analysis. He is currently working on a project developing a webGIS to showcase economic data on U.S. agricultural and food commodity trade flows.
